Recent Search Engine Search Statistics for October-November 2009 by Nielsen Net Ratings

Here is some recent data on search engine statistics from Nielsen InterNet Ratings.

If Google owns 65% of searches and AOL is around 3%…… why do you put your money on sites that don’t rank well on Google? SEO is the way to go……. why not try to dominate Google in the map listings (Local), sponsored link results (PPC), and organic/natural (SEO) results?

I have a client whom I asked, “If you can get 20 leads per month from Search for 1000.00 per month or 20 leads per month from the phone book for 2500.00….. *and the internet leads are better…… Why advertise in the phone book if there are more leads available on the internet?”

*better due to the fact that Internet users have paid-for access to a computer or smartphone/ mobile device which research has shown results in a greater chance of reaching an affluent married homeowner with education and disposable income.

but I digress……..
